Visitors! We have visitors!
First day that feels like, smells like, looks like spring. Good Friday is good indeed this year.
Stopping by for a visit:
A sweet little snake.
A scruffy (molting?) downy woodpecker.
An almost-transformed goldfinch parading in his spring coat.
Jasmin (left), Melinda's friend from Syracuse. It's the annual Easter egg dyeing party.
My children are all here, along with our daughter's lovely pal. The sun is shining. Hope springs. Why did I ever doubt it?

I have never considered "sweet" as an adjective for a snake but somehow it works for your visitor.
Wonderful photos Anne - matches your prose - love the birdies, of course! But the flowers too. What a rollicking time all of you must be having coloring those eggs. I miss my kids' college life even more than they do..I think! Always a surprise - new person/roommate to meet.
Have a wonderful Easter - all of you :)

Nice post, in the best sense of that overused word. The weather is profound, maybe that's under why we talk about it so much. It really feels like it won't change. And then it does. Rich pictures, words, life.

It is great to see the wildflowers popping up. We were afraid there wouldn't be any here in Texas because of the drought, but those little guys are quite hardy.
